Gaspe: Backcountry Skiing March 2007
My spring ski trip with Middlebury College this past March to the Chic Choc Mountains turned out even better than expected. Our thoughts were for spring time conditions with hard icy snow in the mornings and soft corn snow in the afternoon. When we arrived the conditions were exactly that. It all changed with the arrival of a late winter storm dumping almost 2 feet of light dry snow on the mountains around our hut. The skiing was awesome lots of face shots and smiles for the entire group. The series of photos shows the fun we had out there in eastern Quebec that last week of March. Many thanks to Derek Doucette and the students of Middlebury College for organizing Middleburys spring break ski trip. ![]() Linsey checking the Pulse for the day?
