North Cascades: Alpine Climbing Sept 2007

In northern Washington State the North Cascades National Park offer the finest alpine climbing in the states. This area is full value with steep approaches, long alpine routes, challenging glaciers and lots of unsettled weather. This past September I had the opportunity to work for the American Mountain Guides with a group of very talented mountain guides from all areas of the US. Our climbing locations varied from the Boston Basin area near Marblemount to Mount Shuksan and Mt Baker further north near the town of Glacier. Enjoy this ten day trip which is displayed in the following photos.

Art and Angela Hawse high on Mount Baker's North Ridge.

Nat Patridge leading one of the lower ice pitches on Mount Bakers North Ridge.
