No Refusal on Upper Refuse
Pete and Marisa joined Mooney Mountain Guides for a weekend of introduction to multi-pitch climbing and a few lessons on applying their leading skills to multi pitch settings. Day one was spent in Rumney dodging a few raindrops, and enjoying a few of the rather unknown multi-pitch gems on Rumney's wonderful Schist. Sunday was spent at Cathedral Ledge in North Conway. Pete and Marissa got to spend their morning on Upper Refuse, and Pete had a few tricks up his sleeve. Following the normal, "you're both on belay," command was, "SHE SAID YES!" Pete had proposed to Marisa on the top of the second pitch of Upper Refuse and she said yes, thus no Refusal on Upper Refuse. The rest of the day was spent working on routes such as Thin Air, and perfecting gear placements at the North End. Congratulations Pete and Marisa.
