New England's Ice Climbing areas are without a doubt the finest ice climbing areas in North America.

The long cold winters allow world class ice climbs to form consistently each season in New Hampshire and Vermont. Throughout Franconia Notch, Crawford Notch, Cathedral Ledge, Mt Washington, Smugglers Notch and Lake Willoughby are a variety of ice routes and snow climbs.

These areas are perfect for your guided ice climb, course or lesson on technical ice climbing. Our local New Hampshire ice climbing areas are Newfound Lake, Rumney Rocks, Flume Gorge, Kinsman Notch, and Frankenstein Cliff which offer numerous beginning and intermediate ice climbing challenges on a variety of ice climbs and mixed climbs.

The Advanced Guided Ice Climbs are a specialty for us with guided ice climbs of the Black Dike on Cannon, The Last Gentleman at Lake Willoughby, Repentance on Cathedral Ledge, and La Pomme d'Or in Quebec.

Skiing in the Americas began in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

The Mountain's of New England offer a wide variety of terrain for backcountry skiing. The gentle slopes and ski trails of Mt. Cardigan provide perfect terrain for our introductory backcountry ski lessons. Mt. Washington, Mt. Lafayette, and Mt. Mansfield in VT along with many others can satisfy the more advanced skier with steep ski descents in chutes and ravines.

On our guided backcountry ski tours we instruct you in techniques necessary to reduce the risks associated with skiing out of bounds. Tour planning, uphill track setting, downhill ski techniques and avalanche awareness are topics covered on our backcountry ski tours. Powder skiing is typical of our early season (December-mid March). Once spring arrives the snow makes the transition into corn, a consolidated soft and heavy snow perfect for making turns in the higher steeper terrain. Along with warmer, longer days, spring skiing is a highlight of any New England skier’s season.

Our day and overnight ski tours include runs on Mt. Washington, Mt. Lafayette, Mt. Moosilauke, Mt. Cardigan and others.
